We have tested nearly every major cordless vacuum on the market, so we know which ones are actually worth your money—and the Dyson Cyclone V10 Absolute is absolutely worth your money.
This vacuum is currently on sale at a major $150 markdown, which is a pretty big deal. After thorough lab testing, one of the only downsides we could find about the V10 is that it's expensive at its normal retail price. That being said, even at its original tag of $549.99, we still thought its attachments, performance, portability and long battery life made it a worthwhile investment. Now at $399.99, it's an incredible value—providing you manage to snag one before it sells out, that is.
The V10 is one of the best cordless vacuums we've tested to date. For starters, it comes with absolutely everything: a powered brush head that's designed for hardwood floors, a motorized mini brush for cleaning upholstery, a soft brush for hardwood, a combination upholstery/bare floor tool, a crevice tool, a drive cleaner head and a soft dusting brush for computers and delicate items.
The V10 puts all these tools to good use, too: In our testing lab, it picked up 89 percent of the dirt we left out for it. Even more surprising, the V10 also dominated our battery tests. On the low setting, it can run for a continuous 60 minutes, which is perfect for day-to-day maintenance. For intense cleaning jobs, you can run it for nine minutes on its highest setting. And all of this comes in a 5.6-pound wall-mountable package, making it one of the lightest cordless vacuums on the market.
If portability is less important for you than raw vacuuming power, you're still in luck: You can get $50 off the Dyson Ball Multifloor 2 this week as well. As a full-size upright vacuum, the Ball Multifloor 2 is heavier and less portable than the V10, but it's a much better choice when a big mess requires you to break out the heavy artillery.
While we haven't tested this particular Dyson Ball in our labs, we have tested other Dyson Big Ball vacuums. We've found the articulated ball joint lets you pivot around furniture and corners easily. The Ball Multifloor 2 also has a self-adjusting head, so you won't have to worry if you're on the right setting when changing surfaces. It also has a washable filter, which makes upkeep easy and reduces replacement costs.
While this deal isn't quite as steep as the amazing V10 discount above, it's still a great opportunity to pick up a powerful upright at a very good price for what it offers. If you've been meaning to get a new multi-surface vacuum capable of handling four-alarm cleaning situations, the Ball Multifloor 2 is a great option at its current sale price.
