Early morning fire destroys Lake Symington home; North Kitsap fire burns dump truck, shed

A fire destroyed a home near Lake Symington early Wednesday morning, Central Kitsap Fire and Rescue reported.
Firefighters were dispatched to the home in the 12000 block of NW Overland Trail at about 1 a.m. and found a single-family residence with fire showing on all sides, the fire agency said in a press release. All occupants had evacuated the home, and there were no injuries reported.

A public information officer for Central Kitsap Fire and Rescue did not respond to a request for additional information about the incident.
The Kitsap County Fire Marshal's Office will investigate the blaze.
North Kitsap fire
A dump truck and a shed were destroyed in a fire off Ecology Road in North Kitsap, at Whitworth Excavating, North Kitsap Fire and Rescue spokeswoman Michèle Laboda said. Crews were dispatched at about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday night and were at the scene until about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday.
A second vehicle at the site also sustained minor damage in the fire, Laboda said. No injuries were reported.
No cause has been determined, and the incident is also under investigation by the Kitsap County Fire Marshal's Office. Anyone with information about the incident may call Assistant Fire Marshal Tina Turner at 360-337-5777.
