Early voting in Roane County and throughout the state begins Friday, July 15, and ends Saturday, July 30.

Roane County residents can vote early at the First Christian Church, 100 Gum Hollow Road, Oak Ridge. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday.

Other locations for Roane County voters to vote early are Harriman Community Center, 631 Clinch St.; Kingston Community Center, 201 Patton Ferry Road; and Rockwood Community Center, 710 N. Chamberlain Ave.

Election Day hours on Aug. 4 are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in Roane County.

Primaries

Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee is running unopposed for re-election in the Republican Primary.

For the Third District seat in the U.S. House of Representatives, Sandy Casey is running against incumbent Chuck Fleischmann.

For the Tennessee House of Representatives' 32nd District seat, Keaton Bowman, Randy Childs, Monty Fritts, Donnie Hall and Teresa Pesterfield Kirkham are the candidates.

Ed Butler, Bradley Hayes and Michael C. Swisher are running for the Tennessee House of Representatives' District 41 seat.

Ben Gann is running for State Executive Committeeman. Elizabeth “Liz” Holiway is running for State Executive Committeewoman.

In the Democratic Primary, Carnita Faye Atwater is running against Jason Brantley Martin and JB Smiley Jr. for governor.

Democrat Meg Gorman is running unopposed for the Third Congressional District Democratic Primary nomination. Jan Hahn is running unopposed for 32nd District representative.

County General

The County General Election ballot will include Mike Pemberton for Circuit Court judge. Tom McFarland and Frank Williams are running for Chancellor. Jeff Wicks is running for Criminal Court judge.

Russell Johnson is running for district attorney general.

Kim Nelson is running for public defender.

Ellison Beard, Wayne Best, Victoria Bowers-Gaskins and Wade Creswell are running for Roane County executive.

Ronald Berry, Temper Evans, Randy Kirby, Chris Lehman and Brian Taylor are running for county commissioner in District 1. Voters can choose three.

Chris Ahler, Tony Beyer, Gregory L. Buckles, Randy Ellis, Greg Ferguson, Brad Gross, Junior Hendrickson, Mike Kittrell and Tami Hamby-Ladd are running for county commission in District 2. Voters can choose three.

Ben Briley, Ben Gann and Cynthia Plemens are running for county commissioner in District 3. Voters can choose one.

Charlotte Bowers Cunningham, James W. Brummett, Lance Duff and Jerry W. White are running for county commissioner in District 4. Voters can choose two.

Marilyn Calfee and Mike Hooks are running for County Commission District 5. Voters can choose one candidate.

David Bell, David Brackett, Ron Gregory, Ben Wilson and Larry Woods are running for county commissioner in District 6. Voters can choose three.

For county commissioner in District 7, Tina Crownover, Shannon Hester, Travis Parks and Luciana J. Sheth are running. Voters can choose two.

Chris Mason is running for county trustee. Terry Stevens is running unopposed for General Sessions judge Part 1. Dennis W. Humphrey is running for General Sessions judge Part 2. Jack W. Stockton is running unopposed for sheriff. Ann Goldston is running for Circuit Court clerk.

Beth Gage Johnson is running for county clerk. Sharon Brachett and Mike Elmore are running for register of deeds. Greg Leffew is running for county attorney.

Larry Brackett is running unopposed for the School Board District 1 seat. For School Board District 3/4, Larry Sam Cox, Jessica Lancaster Hunsaker, Ashlee Johnson Korte and Mike Taylor are running, and voters can vote for two candidates.

Municipal Elections

With the Harriman Municipal Election, voters can vote for three City Council members from the following candidates: Johnny “Knobby” Brackett, Joshua Dale Gillespie, Alicia Harris, Travis J. Kirkland II, Bruce Knoblock, Sam Russell, and Lonnie H. Wright.

In Oliver Springs, Joseph H. Van Hook is running opposed for city judge and Ramona Walker is running unopposed for court clerk and finance officer.
