Early voting in Indiana starts Wednesday. Who's up for election in Wayne County in 2023?

WAYNE COUNTY, Ind. — The 2023 Wayne County municipal elections are just around the corner.

Early voting in the county and across Indiana starts this Wednesday, Oct. 11, with the last day to register to vote ending this Tuesday, Oct. 10.

Those seeking to register or vote early can do so at the voter registration office located on the second floor of the Wayne County Court House (301 E. Main St.) in Richmond. Registration can also be done online through the state website or at an Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles location throughout Indiana.

Early voting at the registration office goes from Oct. 11 through Nov. 6 and is open 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on two Saturdays, Oct. 28 and Nov. 4.

From Oct. 30 to Nov. 3 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., early voters can vote at the First Bank Kuhlman Center (861 N. Salisbury Rd. in Richmond) and the First English Lutheran Church (2727 East Main Street in Richmond) and at the Kuhlman Center from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28 and Nov. 4.

On Election Day, locations will open at Mt. Olive Baptist Church (1108 N H Street) and First Baptist Church (1601 South A Street), both in Richmond.

Cambridge City and Milton are both holding Town Elections this year, and Cambridge City voters can vote on Election Day at the Golay Center (1007 East Main Street), while Milton voters can vote at Milton Town Hall (101 N Central Ave). Voters in both towns can vote early at the Wayne County Court House or the two early voting centers in Richmond.

On Election Day, Richmond voters will choose a mayor out of four candidates, the nine members of the city council and the city clerk. The Richmond City Clerk, Democrat Karen Chasteen, is running unopposed.

In Boston, Centerville, Dublin, East Germantown, Economy, Fountain City and Greens Fork, every office is running unopposed.
