With all precincts reporting, Patrick defeats Toms in Warner Robins mayoral runoff

LaRhonda Patrick defeated incumbent Randy Toms in a Warner Robins runoff election Tuesday night.

Patrick, a Warner Robins native and attorney who works as the city attorney for Fort Valley, becomes the first woman and first Black person elected as mayor of Warner Robins.

Here are the vote totals, with all precincts reporting (totals have not been finalized):

  • LaRhonda Patrick: 4,559 votes (51.85%)

  • Randy Toms (incumbent): 4,234 (48.15%)

“I’m feeling overjoyed, proud and exhausted,” Patrick said after results were announced. “First steps are getting to know the staff... spend time with my directors and staff in each of the departments. That’s important to me and our city.

“I was an underdog from the very beginning and I had faith and courage, and it allowed me to get to the victory we had today. I am proud to stand here as the first woman to be elected mayor in the city of Warner Robins, to stand as the first minority to be elected as mayor...”

Toms was seeking his third term as Warner Robins mayor.
