Early voting under way in Albany ahead of May 24 primary election

May 2—ALBANY — Harry Morgan, left, and Johnny B. Scott, a retired Dougherty County Schools principal, make their selections on Monday morning during the first day of early voting in Albany.

"It's important," Morgan said of his early trip to the polls. "I'm a regular voter. We need to get more involved in voting. That's what we need to do."

Early voting continues through May 20 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Riverfront Resource Center in Albany at 125 Pine. Ave., and in Lee County from 8:15 a.m.-5 p.m. at the election office, located at 100 Starksville Ave. N.
