If there’s any award show that emphasizes the anything part of anything can happen, it’s the MTV Movie & TV Awards. From that time The Notebook stars Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling made out on stage at the 2005 ceremony to accept their award for Best Kiss to the original Brady Bunch cast reenacting the Basic Instinct police interrogation scene (complete with Florence Henderson in the Sharon Stone role) during the 1994 show, there’s decades of precedent when it comes to iconic moments playing out live.

Which is why host Zachary Levi (Shazam!) has some big shoes to fill following Tiffany Hadish’s memorable 2018 go at it. But thanks to a recently-announced performance by Lizzo (her first major awards show performance ever), he’ll have an assist should things go off track. Then again, things going off track has never been a bad thing in terms of creating unforgettable moments. Who can forget when Sasha Baron Cohen flew into the theater and landed upside down on Eminem’s face in 2009?

To make sure you don't miss out on the occasion (and whether or not O's Gayle King will win for Best Host), here's everything you need to know about when, where, and how to watch the 2019 MTV Movie & TV Awards.
