East Coast Storm Covers Brooklyn Neighborhood in Snow

A strong winter storm brought snow to New York City on January 16, as parts of the east coast braced for travel disruption and thousands were without power due to the severe weather.

Footage by New York resident Winslow Corbett shows a wintry scene on Sunday. The video was filmed in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn, she said.

The New York City Emergency Management Department issued a travel advisory for Sunday and into Monday, warning that heavy rain and strong winds could create dangerous travel conditions.

Late on Sunday, the weather service said 0.8 inches of snow was recorded in Central Park. No more snowfall was predicted for New York on Monday, they said. Credit: Winslow Corbett via Storyful
