East Haven Town Hall To Reopen To Public Monday: Mayor

EAST HAVEN, CT — On Monday, Town Hall reopens to the public, Mayor Joseph A. Carfora announced.

And while regular public, in-person town business resumes, Carfora noted that given "continued concerns" about COVID-19, there are some asks.

"We do request the public’s cooperation," he said, "by only visiting Town Hall when absolutely necessary."

Carfora said that "when possible," citizens should "conduct routine business with the town" through email, on-line options found on the town’s website, through regular mail, or via telephone.

Town Hall visitors "must" wear a mask/face covering at all times, maintain social distancing guidelines, and adhere to signage in the building," he said. And, anyone who is not feeling well, or experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, should not enter the building and rather contact the department by phone to conduct business.

The mayor also said in a statement that his administration and the East Shore Health District Department continue to "monitor and evaluate the situation in our community, and the surrounding area."
