EastEnders spoilers follow.

EastEnders will bring back former villain Graham Foster in next week's episodes, as Freddie's story is revisited.

Alex McSweeney is reprising his role as evil Graham, who raped Freddie's mum Little Mo back in 2003.

The character was last seen on screen in January 2005, when Billy visited him in prison – where Graham was serving a sentence for the crime.

Upcoming scenes will see Freddie inspired to find his biological dad all over again, after helping Alfie throw a birthday party for his sons Bert and Ernie.

Touched by Alfie's sweet fatherly bond with his children, Freddie decides he wants to find his dad and demands answers from Kat about his identity.

Keen to protect her nephew from the truth, Kat lies, but an undeterred Freddie continues to search for answers regardless.

He later asks Alfie and Billy to share what they know as well, but Kat intercepts the conversation and agrees to tell Freddie the truth later that evening.

When it comes to it, Kat is unable to betray Little Mo's trust and decides to lie to Freddie about what happened.

Unfortunately, Kat's attempts to hide the truth don't last long as, when Tommy overhears a conversation between Kat, Jean and Harvey, he heads to Freddie to share his dad's real name.

Freddie is delighted when he discovers 'Graham Foster' on a car dealership website with a contact number, still unaware of the truth relating to his conception.

Bobby then helps Freddie set up a clandestine meeting with Graham, and he turns up at his work and pretends to drive one of his cars.

Overwhelmed at being face-to-face with his dad, Freddie tells Graham who he is.

Meanwhile, Kat, Billy and Alfie frantically try to track down Freddie after learning what's happened.

Bobby reluctantly reveals Freddie's location under the pressure of Kat’s interrogation, but are they too late?

EastEnders boss Chris Clenshaw had already confirmed that Freddie will be finding out the truth about his dad this summer.

Speaking about the story, Bobby Brazier – who plays Freddie – said: "Freddie wants to find his dad because he's grown up for the past 18 years without knowing anything about who his dad is, and anytime he has wanted to find out about who his dad is, he has always been palmed off.

"He hasn't had any definitive answers to give him peace or that resolution he's looking for. He moved to the Square last year in hopes of finding his family and he also wanted them to point him to the direction of his dad.

"Seeing Alfie, who has kind of taken on that male role model for Freddie as someone he can trust and take shelter on, being such a great dad to his boys, it triggers something in Freddie that hasn't come up for a while but is always there. So he wants to go and find his dad."

He added: "He finds it frustrating that no one really wants to give him any answers but, as well as frustrating, he doesn't understand, because he can't comprehend why no one will and why no one wants to tell him.

"He can't get his head around the idea that there might be a reason, he just thinks that everyone else is being unfair and that they're just not taking the time for him."
