EastEnders' Sam Mitchell announces two sackings post-club changeover

In EastEnders episodes airing next week, Sam Mitchell will takeover the local club and announce that two of its employees have been fired.

Ever since Sam returned to Walford, she's been plotting to expand the Mitchell empire by taking over the local club, which was previously owned by Ruby Allen.

Phil has left her in charge of this while he's in prison, which leads Sam to press Denise Fox into lending her the money to buy it.

This changeover will take place next week when Sam finally gets her wish and takes over the club, renaming it 'Peggy's' after her late mother.

However, things get off to a rocky start for her and she tries to make her mark by firing Vinny.

As a result, Vinny's girlfriend Dotty is riled up and tries to get her own back, but this only backfires on her when Sam sacks her as well.

Kat and Sharon, who are already unhappy about Sam's return, learn that Sam fired Vinny and Dotty and decide to exact their own revenge.

Back at the club, Sam is confused when Dotty appears and hands her a mysterious package.

What's going on and are the tables about to turn on Sam?

In other EastEnders storylines airing next week, Kathy will push her son Ben to report Lewis to the police.

Fed up with being blamed for the breakdown of his relationship with Callum, Ben later tells Jay that Lewis raped him.

The pair talk about the incident, but in doing so, Jay inadvertently puts doubts in Ben's mind about going to the police. So when Kathy takes Ben to the police station, he's worried they won't believe him.

Will he report the crime?

EastEnders airs these scenes on Monday, June 13 and Tuesday, June 14 at 7.30pm on BBC One.
