EastEnders star Jacqueline Jossa has branched out from her day job and launched a brand new business.

The actress, who played Lauren Branning in the BBC One soap from 2010 to 2018, has opened a new performing arts school, The Jac Jossa Academy, in Bexleyheath, which will help train the next crop of talented actors, singers and dancers.

According to the academy's website, students can take classes in a variety of different dance styles and it also offers self-confidence workshops.

Students will have the chance to take workshops taught by industry professionals and agents will be invited to performances, so for any future superstars out there, this could be for you.

There are classes for pre-school age children from 3 to 6 years old, middle ages from 5 to 8, and a top class group from 9 to 12+.

This is Jossa's first big career move since leaving EastEnders last year and giving birth to her second daughter, though the ex-soap star has ruled out having any more children.

"I can't remember life before being a mum," she said. "It's like that life never happened.

"It would have been nice [to have a boy] but at the same time, I can't think of anything worse right now than being pregnant – just taking steps backwards in sleep patterns and everything."
