EastEnders star Ricky Norwood has revealed whether he'd return to the soap as Arthur 'Fatboy' Chubb.

The fan-favourite character was notably kidnapped by Ronnie Mitchell's henchmen in 2015, and it was later revealed that he had been killed.

After briefly reprising his role last year in a flashback episode, the actor has shared that he'd love to see Fatboy return to the Square — in any capacity.

"The thing with EastEnders is that anything can happen. I've got a lot of love for EastEnders, I've got a lot of friends and family that are still there," he told Radio Times.

"I call them family because you share a lot there. You really build a strong bond with the people that you work with."

Norwood went on to acknowledge that a character's death doesn't always end their story, saying: "Whether you die onscreen or offscreen, there have been returns."

He added: "[EastEnders] had a year full of great storylines. Christmas was fantastic. So if they ever needed Fatboy back in the Square, all they've got to do is give me a call."

A possible Fatboy return will have to be put on hold for now though, as Norwood prepares to dust off his skates for the new series of Dancing on Ice, which begins tonight (January 14).

"I was like, 'Let's do it. Why not?' It is going to be something that I'm going to have as a skill under my belt for years to come," he said on why he signed up to the show.

"We are doing very intense, very specific and very difficult stuff. By the time I finish this show, I'm going to be proficient."

EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast. Dancing on Ice airs on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
