EastEnders star Thomas Law wows fans with singing talent

EastEnders star Thomas Law has showcased his music skills in a clip posted on Instagram.

The actor, known for the role of Peter Beale on the BBC One soap, sang a rendition of 'In the Summertime' by Mungo Jerry and played guitar.

Some of his co-stars appreciated the musical moment, with actress Balvinder Sopal, who portrays Suki Panesar on the show, asking Law if he takes requests for the next video in his Music Mondays series.

Law has been posting videos like this for years, but fans who have only just started following the star again were wowed upon coming across his singing talent.

One person commented: "I didn't know you could sing! You have an amazing voice and loved the song choice."

"Never knew you could sing as well, you sound amazing," was another comment.

"Missed your Music Mondays, always love when you do these, brighten my days up," one fan wrote.

Law has been confirmed to return to EastEnders as Peter later in the year, together with his onscreen parents Ian and Cindy Beale, portrayed by Adam Woodyatt and Michelle Collins.

The decision is a recast reversal for the soap, given that Peter was most recently played by Dayle Hudson. Law commented on his return, saying he'd hoped to go back to Walford, but never thought he'd be back.

"Over the years, I had hoped for a return to the Square, although I never thought it would happen, so it's an absolute delight to be back in Walford as Peter Beale," the actor said.

"It's been great to see familiar and new faces, and I can't wait to explore the character again in the wake of Cindy's return – it's an exciting time to return!"

EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer.
