Spring Half-Price Book Sale

What: Event by Voices Book Nook of Freeport. Everything in the store will be half price. There is also a Silent Auction that has already begun. It will end the last day of the sale at closing.

Magic the Gathering Night and Bring Your Own Vinyl Night

What: Come on out to Generations Brewing to play the card game, Magic the Gathering, and bring your own vinyl to play, too.

Community Easter Bunny Trail

What: The Easter Bunny is ready for kids of all ages for Candy Land-themed outside activities including egg hunt and petting zoo. Bring a basket to gather treats. Walkways are stroller friendly. Trail begins by the carousel. On the trail, stop by the Freeport Park District table to get a bunny coloring page.

When: 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday

27th Annual Stephenson County Fiber Art Fair

What: A celebration of fiber and the fiber arts with workshops, demonstrations of spinning and weaving, vendors offering fibers for spinning plus finished yarn, dyes, books, gifts, equipment, handmade soap and baskets. Also supplies for spinning, weaving, knitting, felting, dyeing, tatting and crochet.

When: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday

Stephenson County Clean-Up April 9-16

What: Greater Freeport Partnership is hosting a clean-up week beginning April 9. This is an opportunity for individuals, small groups, and families to spend time outdoors doing meaningful work to help the environment and your communities. Volunteers are asked to pick up litter and pull weeds. The Greater Freeport Partnership will offer clean-up kits (bags and gloves) for anyone needing them. Kits can be picked up between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, at the Partnership office, 110 W. Main St. Volunteers may drop off full bags of trash at the Greater Freeport Partnership office and place them along the building under the parking garage next to the building.
