Easter Monday brings the annual Easter Egg Roll to the grounds of the James A. Garfield National Historic Site in Mentor, 8095 Mentor Ave., just east of the Great Lakes Mall. That's the same day as the historic Roll at the White House, which Garfield attended during his brief 1881 reign as President.

First Lady Lucretia Garfield, portrayed by Debbie Weinkamer, will host activities set from 1 to 3 p.m. on April 10 at the one-time home of the 20th U.S. president.

Various games, crafts, activities and contests will take place, along with open-house-style tours of the home's first floor. The Easter Bunny will be on hand as children 4 and under join an Easter Egg Hunt at 2:30 p.m., followed by the race to roll Easter eggs. The Egg Roll competition will be divided into four older-age categories.

Origami artist Michael Roy of Cirque du Papier, Diamonds the Magical Clown and All About You Music will entertain throughout the afternoon, which is free but will be canceled in the event of rain.
