Easter egg hunts coming up in Richland County

It's Easter egg hunt time and several hunts with the Easter Bunny are scheduled in and around Mansfield and Richland County. Most will take place rain or shine. Here are some of the local events planned:

March 25

Richland County Dog Warden’s annual Easter Egg Hunt, 2-5 p.m., 810 N. Home Road, Mansfield. Event includes professional photos with the Easter Bunny with any donation made to the Dog Shelter. RSVP requested.

April 1

The Hunt, 10 a.m., Mansfield Baptist Temple, 752 N. Stewart Road, Mansfield. The event for toddlers through sixth grade will feature an Easter egg hunt, Easter Bunny photo shoot, bounce house and more.

City of Ontario Recreation Department Easter Egg Hunt, noon (arrive by 11:45 a.m.), Marshall Park by the splash pad and pavilion 2, 3375 Milligan Road, Ontario. Open to all Ontario children up to fourth grade. Meet the Easter Bunny and Miss Ontario.

Madison Community Easter Egg Hunt, 3 p.m., Trinity United Methodist Church, 1592 Grace St., Mansfield. This is for children up through grade 6.

April 7

Easter Egg Hunt, 11 a.m., AMVETS Community Park, 320 Bell St., Bellville. Sponsored by Country Meadow Care Center. Event includes photos with the Easter bunny plus cookies and milk with the Bellville Police chief.

April 8

Drive-Thru Easter, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., lower South Park, 100 Brinkerhoff Ave., Mansfield Sponsored by The City of Mansfield Parks and Recreation Department, over a dozen community partners will be providing goodies. Traffic will enter from Park Avenue West at the light at West Park and Pinecrest. Mansfield Police Department will help with traffic.

30th Annual Dayspring Easter Egg Hunt, 12:30 p.m., Dayspring Assisted Living & Care Facility, 3220 Olivesburg (Ohio 545) Road, Mansfield. Open to children age 10 and younger. Prizes will be awarded in each age group. All children will receive a goody bag. Photos with the Easter Bunny, chicken and lamb. There will be food trucks, carnival games, music, several ball drops and more. Bring your own basket.

Mansfield School Employees Association’s Easter Egg Hunt, 12:30 – 3 p.m., Arlin Field, 933 W. Fourth St., Mansfield. Three egg hunts are planned: 1 p.m. for pre-K, kindergarten and first grade; 1:45 p.m. for second and third grade; 2:30 p.m. for fourth and fifth grade. The event will include crafts, games, prizes and the Easter Bunny.

Mission Point’s Easter Eggstravaganza, noon, 54 E. Cook Road, Mansfield. The age groups for the hunt will be 4 & under, 5-8 and 9-12. Refreshments will be served afterwards.
