Easter egg hunts planned in Kilgore this weekend

Apr. 1—Several Easter egg hunts are planned this weekend in the Kilgore area.

Friday

The Willow Rehab & Nursing, 1901 Whipporwill Lane in Kilgore, will be hosting a drive-thru Easter egg event. The Easter Bunny will be passing out Easter eggs to children while they remain in the car on Friday, April 2 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

St. Luke's United Methodist Church, 401 E. Main St. in Kilgore, will host a family movie night at 7:30 p.m. followed by a glow-in-the-dark egg hunt at 9 p.m. on Friday.

Saturday

Turnertown Baptist Church, at the intersection of Texas 64 West and CR 4121 in Rusk County is hosting a community-wide Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 3 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., followed by lunch.

An Easter egg hunt is planned from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 3 in downtown Kilgore as part of wider community activities. Boonie's is hosting a Curtis Grimes concert with Luke Prater opening at 6:30 p.m. Downtown merchants are providing a number of activities Saturday for the whole family and live music, from noon to 10 p.m. Activities include Charlie's Snowballs, bounce houses, balloon animals, corn hole, axe throwing, bubbles, sidewalk chalk, air hockey, board games, ring toss, coloring contest and face painting.

Sunday

Highland Park Assembly of God, 2400 S. Henderson Blvd. in Kilgore, will host an egg hunt following their 11 a.m. Easter Service.

First Baptist Church of Kilgore will also host a church egg hunt after their Easter Sunday service for kids birth through 5th. Participating families are asked to bring 12 stuffed eggs.
