Easter Eggs and Fluffy Fun: Here's your local round-up of hunts and hops

LIVINGSTON COUNTY — Easter is just a short hop away!

Here's some events you can expect to see this weekend:

Howell

The second Easter Egg Hunt Special will take place 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 6, at Castaway Play Cafe, 1800 N. Burkhart Road in Howell. Tickets are $25 each and include unlimited structure and bounce, an egg hunt, a special craft, a goodie bag and a photo with the Easter Bunny.

If tickets are purchased online, attendees will receive a $10 game card. The hunt will be at 6:05 p.m. for ages 3 and under, 6:10 p.m. for ages 4 to 7, and 6:15 p.m. for ages 8 and up. Tickets can be purchased at castawayplay.com.

Breakfast with the Easter Bunny will take place 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 8, at McDonald's, 2205 W. Grand River Ave. in Howell. For $3.50, locals can purchase a children's meal with hotcakes, sausage and milk, plus special toppings.

Easter in the Wildlife Park will take place 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, April 8, at Howell Nature Center, 1005 Triangle Lake Road in Howell. Locals can hop through the Wild Wonder Wildlife Park. There will be egg hunts, games and presentation from wildlife experts.

The cost varies based on membership to the Howell Nature Center. For non-member adults, it's $8 per person. Non-member children are $15 per person. Adult members are $5 a person and minor members are $12 per person. Infants under 3 years old will receive free admission. Participants are asked to pick a time slot from 9-11 a.m. or 11 a.m.-1 p.m. After strolling through the park, locals can take a photo with the Easter Bunny.

Another Breakfast with the Easter Bunny is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, April 8, at American Legion Post 141, 3265 W. Grand River Ave. in Howell. Local can enjoy pancakes, scrambled eggs, ham, cheesy potatoes, a fruit cup and orange juice.

There will be an easter egg hunt for children ages 2 and under, 3-4 years old, 5-6 years old and 7 and up. Children are asked to collect a maximum of 10 eggs. The post is asking a $5 donation per person. Children 2 years old and younger are free. RSVP at 517-546-2534.

An Easter Blast Egg Hunt will take place 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Saturday, April 15, for children ages 2 through sixth grade at Liberty Baptist Church, 599 Chilson Road in Howell. There will also be games, crafts and a snack provided.

Brighton

The second annual Easter Egg Hunt and Helicopter Marshmallow Drop is scheduled for 9:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 8, at Cornerstone Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 9455 Hilton Road in Brighton. There will be an egg hunt, crafts, a hands-on Easter station and more.

There will be an Easter Egg Hunt at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 8, at First United Methodist Church, 400 E. Grand River Ave. in Brighton. Attendees are asked to register in advance at brightonfumc.org/event/egg-hunt-brighton.

Hartland

The Easter Bunny and Egg Hunt will take place 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, April 8, at Deneweth's Garden Center, 13790 Highland Road in Hartland. Locals can take photos with the Easter Bunny and plant their own flower to take home and grow. Cost is $6 per child. Each child must carry a white pot as their entry for admission.

Stockbridge — Plainfield Township

An Easter Eggstravaganza is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, April 8, at Plainfield United Methodist Church, 17845 E. M-36 in Stockbridge.

Whitmore Lake

There will be an Easter Egg Hunt at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 8, at First United Methodist Church at the Whitmore Lake Campus, 9318 Main St. in Whitmore Lake. Attendees are asked to register in advance at brightonfumc.org/event/egg-hunt-brighton.

Pinckney

An Easter Egg Hunt is scheduled following the 8:30 and 10:45 a.m. services Sunday, April 9, at Shalom Lutheran Church, 1740 E. M-36 in Pinckney.
