Voters will choose local, state and federal nominees in Maryland's primary election on Tuesday, July 19.

For governor, Republican candidates seeking nomination are Dan Cox, Robin Ficker, Kelly Schulz and Joe Werner. Democratic candidates include Rushern L. Baker III, Jon Baron, Peter Franchot, Douglas L. Gansler, Ralph W. Jaffe, Ashwani Jain, John King, Wes Moore, Tom Perez and Jerome M. Segal.

In the state comptroller's race, Republican Barry Glassman is running unopposed while Tim Adams and Brooke Elizabeth Lierman face off for the Democratic nomination.

Maryland congressional races

For U.S. Senate, Democratic incumbent Chris Van Hollen faces a primary challenge from Michelle L. Smith. On the Republican side, those seeking their party's nomination include Chris Chaffee, George Davis, Nnabu Eze, Lorie R. Friend, Reba A. Hawkins, Jon, McGreevey, Joseph Perez, Todd A. Puglisi, James Tarantin and John Thormann.

In the U.S. House of Representatives' 1st Congressional District, incumbent Republican Rep. Andy Harris is running unopposed in the primary. Democrats R. David Harden and Heather Mizeur are running to face Harris in the general election.

Local races for Maryland's General Assembly

In the state Senate races on the Eastern Shore, Maryland voters will pick their nominees in Districts 37 and 38.

In District 37, Republicans Adelaide C. "Addie" Eckardt and Johnny Mautz will contend for their party's nomination to face Democrat Naomi Hyman, who is running unopposed.

In District 38, Republican Mary Beth Carozza and Democrat Michele Gregory are both running unopposed.

For the House of Delegates, four Republicans are facing off in the primary in District 37B. Nicole L. Acle, Christopher T. Adams, Tom Hutchinson and Ron James are seeking their party's nomination. Democrat Susan E. Delean-Botkin is running unopposed.

In District 38A, Republican Charles James Otto and Democrat Todd J. Nock are both unopposed.
