Eastern Shore of Virginia man dies in Maryland crash

A Greenbackville, Virginia, man has died of injuries suffered in an early Saturday morning crash in Stockton, Maryland, according to the Worcester County Sheriff's Office.

Rodney Dale Lamberton, 45, was the driver and sole occupant of a 2002 Ford Mustang that crashed at about 12:40 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, 2022, at Greenbackville Road near Rabbit Knaw Road in Stockton.

While negotiating a left curve, the vehicle left the roadway, struck a ditch and then a utility pole before overturning and coming to rest on its roof. Lambertson was extricated from the vehicle and determined to be dead.
