Eastlake High School player leads 2022 El Paso Times All-City Boys Soccer Team

Omar Gio Mora's offensive ability often makes him a target of opposing defenses.

But throughout the course of his career, and senior year in particular, he often found ways to score and help make the Eastlake Falcons soccer team better.

Because of his effort, Mora is the 2022 El Paso Times' All-City Boys Player of the Year.

"Great player and great determination," Eastlake soccer coach Gibby Widner said. "He improved every year for us and made a tremendous contribution to our program for the past four years."

Mora scored 30 goals and had 22 assists this past season for the Falcons, who reached the Region 1-6A semifinals. As a junior, he helped the team to the Elite Eight. He scored a school-best 114 goals during his four-year career.
