Eastland ISD closing due to student, staff illnesses

EASTLAND, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – Eastland ISD is closing due to student and staff illnesses.

Classes were cancelled Friday, February 2, due to the increased sickness across all campuses.

“Custodial and maintenance staff will conduct thorough cleanings of our buildings as well as school buses,” a press release explains.

School officials are hopeful the disinfection process will help curb the outbreak of illness, and class should resume as scheduled Monday, February 5.

The current closure does not affect any pre-scheduled extracurricular activities.
