Eat out on Mother's Day - no reservations required

Hate having to make a reservation for Mother's Day but still want to celebrate (and eat out with) Mom? Many women (including myself) are happy going someplace casual where you can enjoy a light bite and a good cup of coffee without a lot of fuss.

Added bonus: If you do breakfast or brunch, you can often avoid the crowds.

Historically, Mother's Day has been one of the most popular holidays to celebrate at restaurants with most going out for lunch (48% according to research by the National Restaurant Association) or dinner (45%). Thirty percent will meet for brunch and 21% for breakfast.

After more than two years of limited on-premises dining, Hudson Riehle, National Restaurant Association senior vice president of research, said folks are ready to celebrate and socialize. Some options in Westchester and Rockland follow.
