Get tickets to the Fish Fry to support vocational education

The Club Madeirense S S Sacremto Inc. is hosting a “fish fry” to benefit vocational awards for area students. The event will be a celebration of local seafood, community spirit, and vocational education. The seafood dinner will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 31 at Madeira Field, 50 Madeira Ave., New Bedford. In addition to the delicious food, the event will also feature a silent auction raffle. Tickets are $20 for Fish and Chips and $25 for Fish and Chips with Scallops; all tickets include chowder and dessert. Food and Wine Tasting

The Seaport Resort and Marina, located at 110 Middle St., Fairhaven, is back to holding events and you don’t want to miss the 14th annual Food and Wine tasting. From 6 to 9 p.m. on March 31, there will be over 15 vendors from local restaurants as well as wine, beer, and liquor tastings provided by Douglas Wine & Spirits. Sip & Paint Easter Brunch

Coty’s latest creation is over the top at Walrus & Captain. Taste test the Harissa Steak Salad with arugula, roasted brussel sprouts and potatoes, almonds, cotija cheese, harissa, and grilled steak. On special they also have Fall-off-the-bone tender pork ribs, seasoned with Billy's special Louisiana BBQ sauce, slightly spicy, and slightly sweet, served with coleslaw and hand-cut fries. Both are worth the drive over to 33 County Road, Mattapoisett.
