Central Iowa now has a new place to find superfood bowls.

Everbowl just opened its second location in Iowa with a menu of smoothies, bowls, juices and coffee.

Customers can opt to order premade bowls such as the eponymous Everbowl, which comes with a base of acai and granola, topped with bananas, strawberries, and blueberries.

Diners can go off the menu and conjure up a bowl combination of their own, dubbed a Whatever Bowl, with base ingredients such as acai, a Brazilian berry that tastes like blackberry and unsweetened chocolate; blue majic, which tastes like coconut, pineapple and mango; cacao wow, a chocolatey coconut cream; and chewy, a peanut butter acai. Other base ingredient options include granola, oats or chia pudding.

Nut butters, grapes, cinnamon apples, pineapple, kiwi, dried mango, goji berries, sliced almonds, chia seeds and flax seeds are among the toppings.

Smoothies include the NanaBerry Bliss with vanilla, banana, strawberry and almond milk, while the Matcha Magic combines vanilla and matcha with banana liquid and almond milk.

Pressed juices include orange turmeric, blackberry lemon and greens with ginger.

Everything is vegan except the honey, bee pollen and whey protein, all optional ingredients.

Justin Sloan, the investment firm principal from Sloan Capital, plans to open 10 Everbowl franchises in Iowa, already debuting in Cedar Rapids last year at 1100 Blairs Ferry Road N.W., Suite 113, with locations on the way to Iowa City and Bettendorf. Iowa City plans to open at 312 S. Madison St.

Sloan plans to open locations in Coralville, Waterloo, Cedar Falls, Des Moines and Ames as well.

The Southern California-based company has locations in 16 states.
