All-you-can-eat sushi restaurant rolls into Cross Creek Mall in Fayetteville
Fayetteville’s only all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant closed in September after a short stint on Skibo Road; but the city can once again chow down on limitless fresh fish at Rockin’ Rolls Sushi Express, which opened at Cross Creek Mall on Thursday.
The Fayetteville outpost of the regional chain is located at 745 Cross Creek Mall, Suite 150, where customers can help themselves to plates of sushi, salad and desserts from a conveyor belt that winds through the restaurant, past each table.
Customers can also order unlimited made-to-order appetizers, hibachi and kids’ dishes like chicken nuggets and fries from touchscreens at each table, manager Melody Cai said Thursday.
A typical meal can consist of 20 to 30 saucer-size plates of food, Cai said, and the kitchen staff of 10 might whip up as many as 15,000 pieces of sushi per day.
Among the most popular of the chain’s dishes is the volcano sushi roll, she said, which is made with fried fish, eel sauce, spicy mayo and chili sauce.
The time limit per meal is two and a half hours, she said, and there is no charge for uneaten food.
Weekday lunch prices are $13.99 for adults, $6.99 for kids ages 3 to 6 and $9.99 for kids ages 7 to 11. Weekend and dinner prices are $17.99 for adults, $8.99 for kids ages 3 to 6 and $11.99 for kids ages 7 to 11.
Drinks, like Japanese sodas, fountain drinks, juice and milk are charged separately.

Business hours are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on weekends.
Rockin Rolls is the third restaurant to open in quick succession as Cross Creek Mall, following SimLo’s Jerk Hut and Manhattan Deli in the food court.
Two other chains are on their way to mall outparcels: Caribbean eatery Bahama Breeze is slated to open soon, and Cajun restaurant Razzoo’s has submitted plans to the city for a location.
