ECI girls basketball Weeks 4-5 recap: 2 players reach 1,000 points
MUNCIE, Ind. — Teams have completed about one-third of the IHSAA girls basketball season.
The quality of teams and players are starting to take shape, and conference matchups are becoming more frequent.
Here's a recap of Weeks 4-5 involving East Central Indiana teams:

Latest LCGSA rankings: In Class 3A, Jay County (6-1) moved down two spots to No. 6. In 2A, Blackford (8-0) and Winchester (6-1) traded spots and are No. 4 and No. 5, respectively. In 1A, Blue River (6-2) moved down one spot to No. 3.
Wapahani's Camryn Wise reaches 1,000 career points: In her team's dominant 60-42 victory at Blue River on Tuesday, the the forward became just the fifth player in program history to reach the coveted milestone.
Blue River's Maci Chamberlin surpasses 1,000 career points with the Vikings: Although the senior already notched her 1,000 career points when including her production as a freshman at Winchester, Chamberlin on Thursday against Tri reached the milestone in less than three full seasons at Blue River.
Blue River head coach Terry Bales earns 100th career victory: Bales reached the mark in his sixth season with the Vikings after topping New Castle 54-42 on Nov. 23.

Notable individual performances
Kimber Abshear, Monroe Central: The sophomore tallied 15 points, 11 rebounds and eight blocks in her team's 39-37 victory over Northeastern on Nov. 26.
Maci Chamberlin, Blue River: The senior had her best all-around game of the season in her team's 51-14 win over Wes-Del on Saturday, notching season highs in rebounds (six) and assists (five) to go along with 24 points and four steals.
Lauren Luce, Wapahani: In her team's 60-42 win at Blue River on Tuesday, the senior had the best statistical game of her career with career highs in points (18) and rebounds (15).
Sydnee Morris, Blackford: The junior had a season-high 15 points and tied her season high with 13 rebounds, good for her second straight double-double, in her team's 85-45 win at New Castle on Thursday.
Rylee Hallatt, Blue River: In her team's 54-42 win at New Castle on Nov. 23, the senior notched her first career double-double with a season-high 14 points and 16 rebounds.
Brianna Stroble, Blackford: In her team's 85-45 win at New Castle on Thursday, the senior notched a season-highs in points (17) and 3-pointers made (five).
Liv Waters, Blackford: The senior tallied a career-high 12 assists to go along with 14 points, marking her fourth career double-double, in her team's 85-45 win at New Castle on Thursday.
Camryn Wise, Wapahani: The senior notched her first double-double of the year with season highs in both points (23) and rebounds (10) in her team's 60-42 win at Blue River on Tuesday.
