Eckhardt named new Hendrick Health vice president and general counsel

Monday, Nov. 13, Hendrick Health announced Christie G. Eckhardt, JD, as the new vice president and general counsel for the healthcare system.

Eckhardt’s extensive experience in healthcare law will help provide legal direction and system-level leadership to the hospital and clinical team in 45 hospitals, 900 clinics and outpatient facilities in five states.

“We are very excited to have someone with Christie’s breadth of talent and experience joining our leadership team,” said Brad Holland, president and CEO for Hendrick Health. “With more than 20 years of experience in health law, I have great confidence in her leadership ability to navigate complex healthcare-related legal matters and serve as a trusted member of our executive team.”

Eckhardt most recently served as vice president and chief operations counsel at Mercy Health in St. Louis. Prior to her tenure there, she practiced healthcare law with several healthcare organizations across the state of Missouri.

She graduated cum laude from Loyola University New Orleans with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and obtained her juris doctorate degree with honors from the University of Tulsa College of Law in Oklahoma.
