A 60-year-old Somerset man arrested last Friday for allegedly attempting to kidnap two 13-year-old girls on a walking path in Swansea was ordered held on $1,000 cash bail. Michael Nutbrown was in custody and his image obscured from cameras in the courtroom during the brief arraignment on Monday at Fall River District Court, where a plea of not guilty was entered on his behalf on one count of attempting to commit a crime.

End of the line for South Coast Rail: MBTA to talk project's final stages at meeting

The South Coast Rail team has invited the public to a community meeting to discuss the project, which is wrapping up construction.

The meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 10, at 6 p.m., at Morton Middle School, 1135 N. Main St., Fall River.

Things get cooking at Tiverton's Pine House Kitchen & Bar

Tiverton foodies have been waiting for a while, but it looks like they won't have to wait too much longer:

Food deliveries are coming in, staff is in place and chefs are "in house making magic together," according to a recent social media post, as Pine House Kitchen & Bar prepares to open up.

The restaurant at 13 Crandall Rd. recently held a soft opening for friends and family.
