Captains ballpark clubhouse eclipse event sold out

EASTLAKE, Ohio (WJW) – A Northeast Ohio group offered the ultimate experience during the total solar eclipse by watching the celestial show during a stay in a baseball park.

Couples can elope at the total solar eclipse for free. Here’s how to sign up

The Lake County Captains offered an unparalleled experience during the eclipse on April 8…a sleepover at Classic Auto Group Park the night before on April 7.

The Captains promoted the event by saying “An estimated 12 million fans have passed through these gates, but YOU will be first to rent a suite for an overnight stay.”

“Bring up to 50 friends (or if you don’t have that many, we will send our mascots in to hang), take batting practice, sleep in our arcade suite & MORE!” it reads.

The promotion was a hit and the clubhouse sleep over eclipse event sold Friday, according to the Captains.

The offere included: 5 air mattresses, batting cages, access to the Pirate Bar, 80s arcade, secret suites, a box of Big League Chew, a dozen donuts, and something far more priceless:

“Ability to brag to your friends that you slept in a baseball stadium,” the listing states.

But that’s not all.

These schools will close for the total solar eclipse

“Our promo interns will be your concierge for the night and will be at your beckon call to fluff pillows, deliver ice, or tuck you in. It is strongly suggested you leave a sock on your door if you don’t want a mascot to bother you in the middle of the night,” the listing reads.

So, what was the price tag? $5,000 for the night, plus tax.

It does, however, come with a warning.

“Our staff will be on standby to help with the growing mascot problem in the area as well.”

Sounds like fun.
