ECTOR COUNTY FELONY DISPOSITIONS: June 13, 2022

Jun. 13—The following is a list of felony dispositions from the Ector County District Clerk's Office. Listed attorneys do not necessarily represent who was involved when the case was disposed. The prosecuting attorney was not listed unless otherwise stated.

ASSAULT

Alton Ray Coursey, 35, pleaded guilty June 1 to assault family/household member previous conviction IAT and was sentenced to five years probation and 10 years in prison (suspended). Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal. Matt L. Thomas was the attorney.

Chasity Renee Hernandez, 27, pleaded guilty June 1 to aggravated assault with deadly weapon and was sentenced to five years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

Darrell R. Willis, 32, pleaded guilty June 2 to assault family/house member impede breath/circulation and was sentenced to three years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge John Shrode approved the deal.

Joshua Codey Stotts, 40, pleaded guilty June 2 to intoxication assault (F3) and was sentenced to nine years in prison. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

Nigel Jerrell Johnson, 31, pleaded guilty June 2 to assault of a pregnant woman and was sentenced to six years in prison. Judge John Shrode approved the deal.

Ralph Ezequiel Romero, 51, had an assault peace officer/judge charge June 6. Judge James Rush presided.

Rosa Linda Montoya-Flores, 39, was granted community supervision discharge and dismissal June 7 on the charge of assault by strangulation (Fv)(F3). Judge Denn Whalen presided. Don R. Fletcher was the attorney.

BURGLARY

Andrew Eric Virdell, 30, pleaded guilty June 2 to burglary of building and was sentenced to three years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

Christian Anthony Mendoza, 41, pleaded guilty June 1 to burglary of habitation and was sentenced to five years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Justin Low approved the deal. Robert V. Garcia was the attorney.

Gabriel Munoz, 30, pleaded guilty June 1 to burglary of habitation and was sentenced to five years in prison. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal. Lawrence Barber, Jr. was the attorney.

Ivan Barrientos Ceniceros, 30, pleaded guilty June 8 to burglary habitation with intent to commit a felony other than felony theft (F1) and was sentenced to seven years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge John Shrode approved the deal.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

Christian Anthony Mendoza, 41, had a criminal mischief, more than $2,500, but less than $30,000 (SJF) charge dismissed June 1. Judge John W. Smith presided. Robert V. Garcia and Phillip Wildman Jr. were the attorneys.

Jeramiah David Hall, 30, pleaded guilty June 8 to criminal mischief and was sentenced to 296 days in state jail. Judge John Shrode approved the deal.

DWI

Bryan Edward Lauterbach, 54, pleaded guilty June 2 to driving while intoxicated, third or more, (F3) and was sentenced to 18 years in prison. Judge John Shrode approved the deal.

Jorge Olivares Ferrusca, 40, pleaded guilty June 2 to driving while intoxicated, third or more, and was sentenced to eight years in prison. Judge John Shrode approved the deal.

Nick Campos, 46, pleaded guilty June 1 to driving while intoxicated, third or more, and was sentenced to four years in prison. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

Vernon James Silhan, 47, pleaded guilty June 8 to driving while intoxicated, third or more, IAT and was sentenced to five years probation and five years in prison (suspended). Judge John Shrode approved the deal. Robert V. Garcia was the attorney.

ENTICING CHILD AWAY FROM CUSTODIAN WITH INTENT FELONY

Ashton Ruiz, 21, pleaded guilty June 1 to enticing child away from custodian with intent felony and was sentenced to five years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

EVADING ARREST

FAIL TO COMPLY

INJURY CHILD/ELDERLY/DISABLE WITH INTENT BODILY INJURY

David Lee Groff, 30, had a possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, charge dismissed June 8. Judge Justin Low presided.

Daniel Mahias James, 40, pleaded guilty June 2 to two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child (F1) and was sentenced to 45 years in prison. Judge James Rush approved the deal.

Anthony Ruben Fuentes, 19, pleaded guilty June 8 to theft of firearm and was sentenced to three years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge John Shrode approved the deal.

UNAUTHORIZED USE OF VEHICLE

Ted Clinton Murray, 52, pleaded guilty June 2 on two counts of unauthorized use of vehicle (Sjf) and was sentenced to 10 months in state jail. Judge John Shrode approved the deal. Chris Fostel was the attorney.
