Edible Arrangements To Relocate Headquarters To Sandy Springs

Edible Arrangements said it expects to complete the move by the end of 2018.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA — Edible Arrangements has announced plans to relocate the company's corporate headquarters from Wallingford, Connecticut, to Sandy Springs, CEO Mike Rotondo said Tuesday.

Rotondo said Edible Arrangements will keep a small office staffed with about 20 people in Wallingford, however. Edible opened an Atlanta office as a second headquarters in March to "take advantage of the more centralized location, access to major transportation hubs and other resources for many of the services that were previously handled out of Wallingford," according to a company press release.

Edible Arrangements employs roughly 130 workers in Wallingford. Rotondo said Edible hopes to complete the move to metro Atlanta by the end of 2018. The Sandy Springs office will be located in the Lakeside Commons buildings at 980 Hammond Drive. It will serve as the base of operations for the company’s franchise dealings.

“We are excited to make Atlanta the brand's home base as we build a best in class Support Center for our franchise owners," said Rotondo. “Edible’s Wallingford, Connecticut, office is an important part of the brand’s history and heritage, and we will always have a presence in the community. At the same time, the global marketplace is changing at a rapid pace and Atlanta is an attractive location to base much of the team needed to support the company's next phase of growth.”

The company will issue a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification to the extent it is required by law for the corporate relocation, Edible Arrangements said.

Sandy Springs Mayor Rusty Paul said Edible Arrangements' decision shows the city is "among the nation’s most desirable locations for corporate and regional headquarters."

"Our deep, talented labor pool, access to world class, world reachable transportation and superb quality of life all make Sandy Springs a perfect spot for major businesses to call home," he said.

Edible Arrangements is known for its fresh-cut fruit arrangements in the form of bouquets or gifts. It has about 1,200 locations around the country that also offer smoothies, fruit salads and other tasty treats.
