From the editor: Sunday's print edition will be delayed due to Hurricane Ian

Due to complications surrounding Hurricane Ian's impact on eastern North Carolina and across the state, the Sunday print edition for the New Bern Sun Journal, Kinston Free Press and Jacksonville Daily News will be delayed.

The three newspapers are printed in Fayetteville and the printing press was damaged during Friday's storm. Because of the damages, the three papers are being printed in Savannah, Georgia.

Our hope is to have all of Sunday's newspapers relieved to readers by noon on Sunday.
