Editorial: Voter Turnout

If you were wondering how covid restrictions would affect the voter turnout the results are in and the news is good. In 2016 a little over 313,000 people voted in the Nebraska primary. Last week's primary recorded nearly 400,000 ballots mailed in and by the end of the night we reported more than 470,000 voters for a record-breaking voter turnout. That's fantastic, right? Because when more people vote we all have a much higher confidence that the results are in fact, a reflection of the will of the people.
