Egan & Sons Gathers Donations For Montclair Food Pantry
MONTCLAIR, NJ — A sum total of good deeds at a local pub recently added up to $1,100 worth of groceries for the Human Needs Food Pantry of Montclair.
On Thursday, the nonprofit shared a thank-you to Sharon Egan, the owner of Egan & Sons, who spearheaded a donation drive to benefit its clients.
According to the food pantry:
“Once again we are giving a shout out to the food pantry's neighbor Sharon Egan, owner of Egan & Sons. This amazing lady is allowing patrons to make a voluntary donation to help the poor if they choose to when eating at her restaurant. This morning she arrived at the pantry with over $1,100 worth of groceries that she purchased for us with the money she received from her generous patrons. At a time when restaurants everywhere are struggling to operate during the pandemic, Sharon is still thinking of people in need and helping us! THANK YOU, Sharon and all your patrons, who generously donated to help us with our mission of providing assistance to people in need!”
The Human Needs Food Pantry added that Egan's is open for outdoor and indoor dining, and asked the community to support them in kind.
