Sharm el Sheikh (Egypt) (AFP) - Egypt's President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi urged Arab leaders at a summit on Saturday to back the creation of a joint military force, saying the region faced "unprecedented" threats.

"There is an unprecedented threat to Arab identity... a threat that if it spreads will break this (Arab) nation," Sisi told the summit in the Egyptian resort of Sharm el-Sheikh which is expected to approve the proposed joint force.
