Eight Berks players selected to play in PSFCA East-West All-Star football games
Feb. 18—Eight Berks players have been chosen to play in the Pennsylvania State Football Coaches Association East-West All-Star games.
Selected to play for the East in the big school game (Class 4A-6A) was Exeter offensive lineman Anthony Caccese, while picked to the East for the small school game (1A-3A) were quarterback Xander Menapace, running back Pierce Mason and defensive end Charles Sheppard of Hamburg; running back/defensive back Josiah Jordan and kicker/punter Andrew Kurtas of Berks Catholic; and kicker/punter Ian Levering and long snapper Brock Kistler of Wyomissing.
The games will be held Sunday, May 23, at Bishop McDevitt's Rocco Ortenzio Stadium in Harrisburg. The small school game kicks off at noon; the big school game starts at 5 p.m.
