Eight-year-old skateboarder raises funds to save sick cat

When eight-year-old Harley Cuttiford overheard his mum discussing the distressing situation for a poorly moggie at Cats Protection where she was a charity volunteer, he jumped into action to help fundraise for the help needed to save the pet, named Twinkle. Determined to use his skateboarding and BMX skills to pay for it, he challenged himself to complete 1,000 rides over ramps at his local skatepark in Bedworth, Warwickshire, to raise £1,000. He soon raised well over his target, completing the ‘rampathon’ in a day and the moggie was saved. Since Harley’s efforts, Twinkle the cat has made a full recovery and has been taken in by a new family.
