Eight years after opening, Peoria's only Firehouse Subs location has closed

Peoria's Firehouse Subs location has closed.

Formerly in the Sterling Commons shopping center, the logos have been removed and "available" signs have been posted in the windows.

After nearly three decades, Firehouse Subs has grown to over 1,250 locations. The Peoria storefront, located at 4123 N. Sterling Ave., was opened in early 2015 by brothers Greg and Jeff Lehman. Customers could build their own sandwich or order menu items like the Firehouse Meatball, Italian sub and more.

The next closest Firehouse Sub location is located at 1407 N. Veterans Pkwy Unit F in Bloomington.
