Eighty in field for 2022 Bridgestone Senior Players Championship in Akron

The field is set for next week's Bridgestone Senior Players Championship at Firestone Country Club.

Eighty golfers are coming to Akron this for a chance at at the $3 million purse. Last year's winner, Steve Stricker, will be back for another shot at Firestone. Other past champions playing this year are Retief Goosen and Jerry Kelly.

Bridgestone Senior Players Championship: Kaulig Companies to sponsor event at Firestone Country Club

Stricker survived a scare from Kelly last year on the South Course's back nine on the event's finial day. Sticker finished with a 72-hole total of 7-under 273.

This year's event runs from July 7-10.
