El Paso Chihuahuas reveal Star Wars Mandalorian baseball jersey for 2023 season
The force will be strong with the El Paso Chihuahuas in the upcoming 2023 season.
The minor league baseball team revealed Star Wars night would be April 29 at Southwest University Park, along with new uniforms inspired by the Star Wars Disney+ series The Mandalorian.
Seen on the jersey is one of the most recognizable faces, Baby Yoda, who’s not a baby or Yoda at all, but a Jedi youngling whose name is Grogu.
The third season of The Mandalorian will premiere on Disney+ on March 3, with new episodes releasing weekly on the platform.
The El Paso Chihuahuas unveiled in November new uniforms for its 10th-year celebration during the 2023 season, which included the 10th-year jersey, which includes gold trim and a brown and yellow jersey to show their affiliation with the San Diego Padres.
Individual game tickets are on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at http://epchihuahuas.com. The first game of the 2023 season will be March 31 against the Sugar Land Space Cowboys at Southwest University Park.
The Star Wars baseball jersey will be the first auction of the season. Proceeds will benefit the United Way of El Paso County.
