El Paso County sheriff detectives investigate Canutillo shooting

El Paso County sheriff's detectives are investigating a shooting in Canutillo that sent one person to the hospital Tuesday night, officials said.

The shooting, which occurred in a residential area in the 7100 block of Third Street, is under investigation by detectives with the Major Crimes Unit, the Sheriff's Office said in a statement.

The identity of the person wounded in the shooting and further information had not been disclosed as the investigation continued Tuesday night. No arrests had been announced.
