Sheriff's Office detectives seized 82 pounds of California Kush

An anti-drug operation Wednesday snagged more than $1 million of hybrid marijuana.

At about 2 p.m., El Paso County Sheriff’s Office narcotics detectives and Homeland Security Investigations agents conducted a narcotics operation in the 12100 block of Montana Ave. in far East El Paso, just past Loop 375 and Joe Battle Boulevard in an area with a Lowe's Home Improvement store and a Walmart Supercenter.

During the investigation, detectives found two men in possession of 82 pounds of California Kush, a hybrid marijuana.

The men were arrested and charged with delivery of marijuana over 50 pounds but under 2,000 pounds. Sheriff’s Office officials said the street value of that type of marijuana is about $1,087,200.

The identities of the men were not released by Sheriff's Office officials.
