The officer at gunpoint ordered Flores to stop and show his hands but Flores allegedly reached inside the messenger bag then turned and ran when he saw two other officers approaching, a police news release stated.

During the chase, Flores again reached into the bag, was shocked by an officer’s Taser and fell as he was running and suffered abrasions from the street asphalt, police said.

After treated at a hospital for his injuries, Flores was booked on charges of burglary of habitation, evading arrest, resisting arrest, a warrant for evading arrest with a motor vehicle and traffic warrants.
