El Paso filmmaker set to debut ‘Misfits’

At fourteen years old, the doodles began on notebook paper. A vision of a post-apocalyptic world run by a malicious group of marauding villains hellbent on taking anything they wanted. By age 17, Knapp finally settled on a title that perfectly encapsulated the tone of what was growing in his head. Thus, Misfits was born.

Now an adult, Justin started filming his brainchild nearly two years ago. Showcasing talent from all the Sun City and beyond, this independent endeavor is an equal labor of love and nerve [1]wracking commitment. Reshoots, recasts, and dependence on the charity of the cast and crew to keep it running could not stop Justin’s dream, nor even slow it down.

Now, through his production company, TriZaw Films, the charismatic young writer/director is ready to unleash his Misfits. The first episode of what will be a series will be available on select streaming services and will be announced shortly after the January premiere.
