El Paso musical group Kikimora is releasing a new single, “Chase the Wind,” on Friday.

The band began in 2015 when singer, songwriter and guitarist Hayley Lynch and keyboardist Leo Bennato met in Austin, and it has since grown into a six-piece alternative R&B/soul funk outfit based in El Paso.

The group now also includes lead guitarist Ed Ramos, bassist Jericho Cagle, drummer Albert Braun and percussionist Eric Boseman.

Kikimora has performed at venues in cities including Nashville, Philadelphia, Brooklyn and Chicago, according to the group's website.

The single will be released on platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, Amazon Music, Deezer, Bandcamp, iTunes and others, spokesperson Mick Heron said in an email.

People can stream it free or download it for 99 cents on iTunes and Bandcamp.

Fans also can listen to the group on Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube.

Two other singles will be released in May and July, followed by the album release in early fall, Heron said.
