El Paso police detectives look for mother after fetus found in Lower Valley

El Paso police detectives are investigating after a discarded fetus was found in a Lower Valley neighborhood last month.

The human fetus was found on Sept. 25 in the 9100 block of Cuernavaca Drive, which is east of the intersection of North Loop Drive and Zaragoza Road, police stated in a news release Thursday.

Police said that detectives with the Crimes Against Persons Unit are attempting to identify the mother.
