El Paso police Gang Unit arrests 2 in Lower Valley drive-by shooting that wounded teen
El Paso police gang investigators have arrested two men in connection with a drive-by shooting that wounded a teenager in the Lower Valley earlier this month.
Izrael Izaiha Huerta, 17, and Dante Angel Favela, 20, were each arrested on charges of engaging in organized criminal activity-aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, police said.
The men are accused in a shooting that wounded a 17-year-old boy on the night of June 1 in the 100 block of Edith Drive near Alameda Avenue and Delta Drive in the Ascarate neighborhood, police said.
After the teen was shot, three women were providing first aid when the shooters drove past in a car and fired additional shots, although no one else was hurt, police said.
