ELECTION 2023: Lakeview School Board race

STONEBORO — Seven candidates are running for five seats on Lakeview school board; four are incumbents.
—Gage Bartholomew — Bartholomew has served as the head of the personnel committee for the school board during his term. He has served since 2019. He is on the ballot as both a Democrat and Republic.
—David Pears — Pears has served as the head of the policy committee. He is running for his third term and has served since 2019. He is listed under both parties.
—Jamie Galentine — Galentine has served as the head of the discipline committee. He is running for his second term and has served since 2021. He is listed under both parties.
—Steven Beggs — Beggs has led the facilities committee. He is running for his third term and has served since 2019. He is nominated as a Republican.
There are three newcomer candidates; attempts to reach them were unsuccessful:
—Thomas Park — He is on the ballot as a Democrat. Park works in transportation for Laubscher Cheese Co.
—Thomas Vincent — He is listed under both parties. Vincent has served around the schools, primarily as a volunteer basketball coach.
—Adam Saeler — He is filed under the Citizens for Saeler party. He has been around the schools as his wife, Alyssa, is a teacher in the elementary school.
